It’s tough the first few days to get a new routine - like keeping them calm and on a leash when going outside, and keeping the other dogs separated but after a couple of days things will be smooth!

The other dogs make it really challenging. They want to run and play together

I learned to segregate the one on crate rest from the others as soon as the “patient” gets home. I didn’t do that the first couple of times after one of my dogs had surgery and that was chaos 😵‍💫 things will routine after a few days

Yes that's what I'll do too. I'll actually be staying with him in a bedroom/bathroom we added a few yrs ago downstairs. Since he can't climb stairs for a while. The girls will have to wait a couple days to see him. I'll probably let pepper sleep with us down there, she's calm with him
