My ex was national guard in the early 2000s and he had fundie chaplain telling him how he needed to be the head of his household and control me as his wife. Apparently he was pushing that shit pretty hard on every young person around him

*shudder* Even as a man I fail to see the attraction of that. I'd have done my level best to tear that chaplain's worldview into tiny pieces. If nothing else, he wouldn't have spoken to me again.
