Americans aren't going to do farm labor, if we would do those jobs farms wouldn't hire illegally. I will believe this is about illegal immigration and not skin color if just one time an employer got arrested for hiring undocumented workers. GOP is ok with exploited labor practices.
“Illegal immigration” as a legal concept was created in the late 19th century because the U.S. thought Chinese immigrants were a threat to white power and that race mixing was an abomination. I promise you U.S. immigration policy is very much about skin color.
