Gavin's a big reason the GOP holds the House. CA's frontline congressional Dems got massacred 2024 in large part because the top of the ticket didn't spend his campaign cash on the reelect. He sent it to high-profile nat'l races, hoarded the rest for a presidential run. Gavin cares about Gavin.

Right. "Belief" is not a useful predictor of Newsom's politics when personal advantage is at play. He doesn't believe in maximizing Dems' electoral advantage, except when he does. He doesn't believe in LGBT equality, except when he does.
Then he should be voted out or incentivized to think that doing those things maximizes his advantages! Politicians are reflections of us, the voters. We get exactly what we deserve, that Newsom sucked is a reflection of us being awful and lethargic.
