if you spend a lot of time in mograph circles you know the correct answer is “motion design that looks cool using Cinema 4D” you’re seeing the heavy hand of an overused tool, not necessarily a conceptual trend, per se

you’re 100% right on the ubiquity of it all same as when Photoshop or Illustrator debuts a new tool, it shows up everywhere (not unlike like AI slop rn) once you see the “here’s my assemble/disassemble in 3D trick” it’s hard to unsee, from ESPN bumpers to prestige TV youtu.be/yJdrrrIT8hQ?...
