Said the most parenty thing yesterday. ‘I’m not going looking for washing, if it’s not in the basket, it won’t get washed!’

The problem is when it's towels. 😫
We’ve got the two girls back home from this week. Everyone is going to have their own individual towels.
Good luck with that! 😂
That’s exactly what I said to my wife
And bedding.
That’s a fair and reasonable boundary my kids would recognise. They were raised to help with the chores, I’m their mother not their servant and they’ve grown up seeing MrEST always do his share. If the jobs got done quickly we had time for the fun stuff so everyone won.
YUP. I also do not wash underwear that is hidden in pants or socks that are inside out.
I leave everything the way I find it. I don’t remove anything and it gets put back the way I found it.
I actually said when eldest was 14 - either put it in the washing basket or you will have to do it yourself! He chose to do it himself!!!! This then carried on to the other 2. Washing basket in their room and they top responsibility from 14.
Top level parenting there.
