IRC, weren't these the guys who included this exchange on their album: "Watcha doin?" "Chewin' chocolate" "Where'd ya get it?" "Doggy dropped it...." lol
They remind me of the Beach Boys.
I was just in Amsterdam. The coffee (real coffee) shop I was in had a poster of Gibby Haynes who was coming to town soon. Long way from Texas. GH’s dad was Mr. Peppermint, a local icon.
this is my favorite factoid! I watched his show religiously, even though it occasionally gave me nightmares.
I have a classic 70’s picture of him with my sister at a Texas Power & Light Christmas party. It was strange knowing Mr Peppermint first then learning of the Butthole Surfers.
That is amazing. That is a long way from Texas. Real coffee too you say..... Is he touring a full band?
Sadly no picture but I did take a picture of this bike and someone besides me need to appreciate it
They just had his name. Need to see if I took a picture. It was such a surprise.
Never heard of them, no wonder they failed.
I used to love them, especially back in junior high sometime in the 90’s, riding the bus with my Walkman cassette player and headphones on.
Interesting
The Philippi Meeple Peeps.
A staple in my college dj crates. Oh Johnny Johnny Johnny Johnny smooooohhhke.
Seeing the Butthole Surfers live in Seattle will remain one of my favorite shows of my life
