Reactionary centrists, for me, are defined by their absolute refusal to update their political priors. Every signal, every new piece of information is too weak, partly because there is another signal that can be used to cancel out any new data.

I'm certainly no expert, but my belief is that they've bought into the Fox/social media caricature of what people with left/liberal views are and think we'd suddenly win a bunch of elections if we just agree to act like light MAGAts.
