No, roosters do not lay eggs, but hens do and hens are also black. However their eggs are cream.

Yeah. A rooster would have to experiance a substantial degree of intersex presentation to be able to lay eggs, and afaik that's not been reported frequently if at all. The post is talking of the chicken breed (hens and roosters!) and the hens will lay cream-shelled eggs.

But will they be tasty? I would imagine rooster, “intersexed” or not, would be somewhat tough but slimy. I need sleep but will probably dream about breakfast.
