I'm wondering if that's an early clue on the brown paper bag, I'm not from New York are those bags common?

Not that they're completely gone, but plastic bags were banned in 2020 in NYS, so paper and reusable bags are common. I had to think about whether I got plastic bags when I visited NYC recently and don't remember them or at least not much.

Nice, there are only about 4 of us out of 14,000 in my town who use canvas bags, plastic bags are for inconsiderate people.
