My 16 year old was moaning like mad about his rucksack during Scafell Once we'd loosened it so it practically hung off his back (which is apparently how its carried these days) he was fine

I *was* bullied for it, but I knew I was right. Also, when they tried to pull it off you you could just cross your arms and plough forwards. No maths homework or cheese sandwiches for you!
The only variation that was allowed was wearing the one strap diagonally across your chest. I cannot believe this modern two strap stuff
