My 14yo tells me that being a one-strapper is the height of shame these days. I would have been physically bullied for carrying my school backpack with two straps.

My 16 year old was moaning like mad about his rucksack during Scafell Once we'd loosened it so it practically hung off his back (which is apparently how its carried these days) he was fine

The only variation that was allowed was wearing the one strap diagonally across your chest. I cannot believe this modern two strap stuff
