Great grandparents at least. Likely a distant memory by adulthood if you ever met them at all.
Those born in the 80's were grandchildren of WW2 vets & Children of Vietnam vets. born in.the 90's they were great & grandchildren. They should have known them
They should have known the gens who told the stories of their family history. It wasn't so long ago
