Curious to know what will happen to these arrested protesters if, due to austerity cuts, the prisons are full, many police stations have been sold off & the courts are backlogged.

Usually yes, but let's not take the chance and make sure they haven't got any excuse to hold/charge her or anybody else

Indeed. According to one news report I saw, coppers were ignoring some protestors with placards but arresting others because they couldn't deal with all of them. What a carry on.
