We The People must perform a prolonged strike by staying home. No travel, commerce, etc. for those of us that can, as long as we can: 1 hour, a day, a week, a month-however long it takes. Protests should have a theme, be organized, enormous, prolonged, peaceful and must target the issue of the day!
general strikes, join a union, boycotts, growing a garden and share with neighbors, mutual aid, barter and trade, stop consuming like we live in a planet with infinite resources. Talk to people you may not necessarily have everything in common with but can find mutual areas of agreement

I am just setting proper expectations. You can ask for permission to protest all you want and expect them to fallow rules that they have no intention of fallowing. It won't change anything. They will just wait you out or use violence to stop you. That is how this works.
Your job is not to prepare everyone for what we can all plainly see with our eyes. Bluesky is full of smart people. Our jobs are to be helpful or at minimum do no harm. Make a decision of what you think is helpful to the collective and do it. We will be ready to the meet the moments as they come
Having been out in the streets and to many protests in the past. People who are new to protesting and don't understand what is about to happen are a serious danger to themselves and everyone around them.
People don't magically know how to resist state sanctioned violence. The current administration has proven that it has little to no regard for the Constitution. This is a problem.
They don't bring proper equipment or gear. They try to get pictures or videos for clout that puts themselves and other people in danger. They have no experience with tear gas, pepper spray, or impact munitions.
The level of police violence we are seeing right now is far worse then what we saw in 2020. A lot of people are going to get hurt and/or killed because they don't understand how dangerous it is.

We didn't have a democracy recently, just a two-party oligarchy. AOC 2028 can represent real change. The Kamala had to lose so the people could win. :)
What does this even mean though? Beyond voting, which likely will be corrupted soon anyway, we have very little recourse beyond a full on revolution.

I don't see a lot of let up on those other issues. I'm taking part in a training right now addressing those issues. The hot topic of the day just means conversation trends. It has little to do with what people are addressing in real time.
