I have many trans friends, some deep in my intimate social circle. My case tends to be made when I ask "Will trans people be safer and have more rights under a democracy or under fascist rule." Usually they understand that. We can't push for fairer treatment while living under fascism.
Is this a democracy where all the trans people are dead and everything else is ok? Cause you see why trans people might not be fucking cool with that? Or see it as better than fascism?

Exactly that - when I see what’s going on in the world, I fear for my gay son and his partner, my niece and her trans partner - and everyone else no matter who they are. Fascists have a narrow view - if you’re not one of them you’re a target no matter what.
