I just witnessed an example of why you should wear a helmet on a bicycle or scooter. She is fine but her head hit the road. She was wearing a helmet thankfully.

A friend of mine died last year from a helmetless scooter accident. He was a smart guy and normally wore one, but he was just going a few blocks, so he decided to skip it. So shocking and sad.

I am considering starting to use a bicycle again (we have so many rentable bikes on San Francisco), but I won't do it until I buy a good helmet.
