That’s just HR. “Escalating to people ops” is just renaming “reporting to HR” in a way that is designed to impress the dumbest guys around.

It’s like on B99 when they renamed taskforces “do groups”
…also entirely dropping the pretense that such business units are in any way an advocate of the employee
kudos to the HR Manager who got to keep their staff employed by just renaming their department “People Ops” tho
my non-profit created a new position called Chief People Officer. Not coincidentally, our annual self-evaluation went from 15 minutes to complete online to about an hour
lol. He is talking like this is some new concept. Our company has used the People Ops term for 5-10 years. It works fine. Nothing revolutionary. 😄
As described it sounds like HR but kept to an absolute minimum (escalation of serious employee matters). I’m guessing this means individual managers will have primary responsibility for leaves and accommodations, which will only increase the severity of the serious employee matters.
Guy who runs a scam company he sucks investor money out of has a competitive advantage in impressing the dumbest guys around
“HR” is chicks at work who won’t sleep with me telling me what jokes I can make. People Ops is bad ass. Slick. Streamlined. Take No Prisoners. Get Shit Done.
I'd be annoyed, but this sort of this has a roughly 100% success rate in convincing C suite folks to pay $3M to a consultant
Our company call it "The Happiness Team" which is ironic because every time I deal with them I end up fucking miserable.
Innovation, baby!!!
hearing that bolt is innovating in the personnel space, they no longer do layoffs and are instead focused on rightsizing. this empowers managers, streamlines decisio
HR dangerously close to spelling HER so something had to be done
"Defund the police and hire more public safety officers!"
I dunno, this sounds like it's going to be HR but without the knowledge needing to avoid lawsuits.
honestly I thought people ops was the normal name for it these days, I’ve seen it all over tech
We have People Services. Human Capital is another you see a lot. I’m not sure hoe many people call it HR anymore unless they’re being derogatory.
We have People and Culture which I think is just a similar deal. A lot of people who are easily fooled by people marketing to them.
Ours was People And Performance, renamed last year The People Team 🙄 Thing is they will have paid a consultancy a wad of cash to come up with that.
I think that's what my company calls it but I just call it HR so I'm not actually sure
