I initially thought the “sound quality” argument was overstated but holy hell does Apple Music sound better than Spotify

Joni Mitchell and Neil Young alone was worth it for me, but yes it’s also better in other ways

Another reason is if you’re using other Apple services (cloud, TV, etc) you can get a lower bundle price which helps.

I can honestly say I've never used Spotify, deliberately!

I'll bite: Why? I hate Apple since it reorganized all of my mp3 files years ago without my asking. Do they pay artists more? I don't really want to go into their universe (happy Linux user).

You know what switching to Apple Music got me back? The ability to put my whole library on shuffle and just let it play. I'm doing it now.

Audio quality is way better too

It also has better sound quality.

Their dedicated classical app is great.

Using something other than Spotify means zero of your dollar bills goes into Joe Rogan's pocket.
