MORGAN FREEMAN served in the U.S. Air Force from 1955-59. He wanted to be a fighter pilot but ended up a mechanic for Automated Tracking Radar equipment. In the end he got his private pilot’s licence aged 65 and can now fly aircraft - including his own private jet.
