I’m torn. I desperately want him to lose cause he’s a POS. But also the tariffs help come mid terms bc MAGA voters don’t want higher prices.

The delay might still tank the economy for xmas. Orders are going out now and priced for tariffs. If the tariffs are lifted it won’t be till after xmas and the consumer won’t be made whole. Just big business will make out like bandits with a windfall return from the Treasury.

Also I don’t believe lifting the tariffs now will ease the expected 70% inflation in food. Fertilizer is being purchased and used now for the next growing season.

What if the tariffs are never lifted and SCOTUS just sides with trump? I get the feeling they will because having to pay back the tariffs collected will just be too much work.

Certainly could rule that way. Which means all businesses have to nationalize, like Intel, to survive US trade policy. As for the already collected money, lower courts would rule the money has to be returned. While SCOTUS would not take the case. IMO
