& it is popular with as little commentary as the ECB/BBC can manage & very little publicity compared to "The Hundred"

Ive always liked 50 over one day games particularly watching them live. If you can only take one day off work - you see both sides bat and bowl, you'll see swings in fortune and you'll see often an exciting finish. Brilliant and underrated format. Yorkshire have been cracking so far this season

The 50 over game you still need tactical nous and, as Julius Nicholson stated in The Thick Of It, "strategy, prowess." The Hundred, by comparison, is glorified rounders in pyjamas. Cricket for people who don't like cricket.

Is liking the Hundred an age thing? Most of my contemporaries are not keen on it especially as it robs the best cricketers from the county sides. It seems it's just T20 with a few superficial tweaks.
