Look it up yourself. The numbers are wildly misleading on purpose. There is huge pay inequality in the US, and CEO pay includes things like stock options, performance bonuses and other benefits not afforded to the hourly worker, but often part of packages for executives & managers.

I don't see how any of that disproves the point. As the counter arguer, its on you to provide evidence to support your hypothesis. As someone very familiar with inequality numbers, I'm inclined to believe the op.
Go nuts. Data on salaries is convoluted and the criteria for what is included varies wildly and is almost impossible to aggregate globally. There is absolutely no definition of “average worker” and the companies named have an enormous workforce at all levels of the pay scale. The statement is false.
Meanwhile, employees are working below living wages and often have to rely on social services to get by. Cuts in those programs hit the working poor the hardest!
You are 100% right. So corporations like Walmart or McDonald’s don’t pay a living wage or provide healthcare benefits so the us taxpayers subsidies those employees with SNAP, Medicaid and other social service programs.
I worked the First to Work program. I never had a Starbucks or CocaCola employee on my caseload.
