Honestly that was so few Nazis compared to the massive numbers we just let be politicians and judges and soldiers again. Paperclip was a big deal, don't get me wrong, but our bag-fumbling was so so much worse than that. The Wehrmacht was basically fully rehabilitated by the Korean War.
Even HIAG had incredible success in the early 50s and only kinda fucked it up bc that sort of Nazi is really bad at subtlety. They even won full reinstatement into the army, they just needed to play ball a little better politically.
