I was reviewing my memories when I hit a stumble and wondered how Lou Grant could be a spin-off of The Mary Tyler Moore show. The shows have focus and tone entirely and are even different genre. I rewatched a bit of both. Unfortunately I now have the theme to Lou Grant stuck in my head.
