When it comes down to majority of the big donors aligned with Democrats and progressive establishment simply don’t get what we are up against- and unfortunately the power of money dictates the cowardly behavior in current establishment dominated by grifters and career climbers.
They know what we are up against and they are choosing fascism. Capitalist always choose fascism when they fear that true democracy will lead to diminished power and wealth for them.
Schumer is at 28% national popularity this morning, the Democrats don't care about popularity.

I guess our future is not going to happen, with no effective, orchestrated opposition, we won’t be able to stop them. They have been planning and executing the plans for many years and here we are. Very discouraging

It is their very status as rich donors that prevents them from seeing the peril we all face (and the system itself). They are insulated from it by their privilege.
Democrats/progressive establishment are still obsessed with policy and politics from 80s-90s when the time we are in requires them to do ruthless politics to rebuild a bombed our democracy measures of uncompromising accountability.
Would be happy to do Leonard Leo’s work for quarter of his budget to shape #scotus in 10-20 yrs.
Not sure about “grifters and career climbers”—the latter, especially, are mostly on the right. A lot of establishment Democrats seem to be wobbly conformists who think we still live in a democracy. Not brave enough or independent enough to shake off the “experts” whose expertise has aged out.
