I was the only passenger in First Class on an Iberia flight from Miami to Madrid, along with the members of Los Lobos. They sang and played the guitar, so it was like a private concert.

I LOVE Los Lobos! What a great story! I first saw them at last night's aforementioned Boathouse in VA in 1987. The only band I have seen in 3 states and 3 different decades. 😅 More than just another band from East L.A.

They're incredibly eclectic and talented. So, so much more to them than their cover of La Bamba. Culturally important as that was, it's what they have done under their own name that has endured. My late beloved cat Kiko (1997-2010) was named after their 1992 masterwork.
