Even if Deep Regrets wasn’t a great game I’d love it for the art alone. The first time I flipped over “HUMAN”, I couldn’t stop giggling.
Just played a session of the slay the spire boardgame. It's incredibly good, and a good port of the PC version too. Definite recommendation if you haven't tried
Well, this post makes it clear to me that though we are both dedicated board gamers, we have VERY different tastes, since the only game in this list I've actually heard of is Endeavor. 😆 200 games on my shelves and not a single one frome that list.
I mean it sometimes seems every small European town has a board game named after it. There are a lot of them :)
Oh, absolutely. That's why it's my favorite hobby. We're spoiled for choice, and if ypu love a board game it never actually becomes dated or obsolete. I've got games spanning 50+ years and still love playing all of them. (30 years, really, but Acquire's up there, so...)
That sounds intense. How many hours did you sleep?
Deep Regrets is cool. Have you ordered the expansion?
I backed it, yes.
Excellent. I did the same, too. Cannot wait!
Finished reading Shroud a couple of days ago. Really enjoyed it. Thanks for the great story.
What's your opinion on Endeavour? Have you played Age of Sail to compare? It's very much on my wishlist but I kinda want to play it before I buy it
So I played the original Endeavour a while ago and found it mechanically very good but thematically awkward. The Deep Sea version is an improvement both in replayability (scenarios and changing tile layout board) and in theme (not colonialism). I don't think I know Age of Sail.
Age of Sail was just Endeavour 2nd ed. I'll definitely keep an eye out!
Ah - maybe that was what I played then.
I really enjoyed Endeavor Deep Sea. Lots of fun choices.
Deep Regrets is the most fun game I've played in ages 😁🤘
I'm exhausted just reading that!
