Oh man, I loved Karen Memory. I should reread it.
Thank you!!!
That can't be true, because I remember hearing about it and I said, "I have loads of time to re-read Karen Memory before it comes out, loads and loads," so clearly... um... drat.
When the raucous Karen Memery signs on as young Annie Oakley's stunt double in an early motion picture, she thinks her biggest problem is earning enough to save the ranch she owns with her beloved Priya.
But can they both survive once Priya is accused of murder and Karen discovers her stunt with the horse Angel Maker could prove fatal?
A sapphic adventure with wit, mayhem, and derring-do, this sequel to the steampunk/gaslamp Western cult classic Karen Memory will delight fans of T. Kingfisher and T.J. Klune.
I think those who have read the earlier installments will back me up on "raucous" portion of the program. Also, this book stands alone though of course it does contain some spoilers for the backstory.
Such splendid cover art, too.
Cynthia Sheppard for the illo, Clarissa C.S. Ryan for the design!

My first thought was Annie Oakley vibes, and it turns out that was the intent. Kudos to the artist
