Terrible people can make enjoyable art, but part of being a decent person means that you stop supporting and enjoying things that terrible people make.

This. Yes, there are good artists whose art is admirable, who are terrible human beings. But there are enough authors, actors, directors, who are brilliant in what they do AND are good people. There is no need to support hateful bigots.

This is how my oldest found the Percy Jackson series, we asked our local librarian for an alternative to Harry Potter, and she specifically listed it as being inclusive. There are so many amazing artists out there willing to take the simple step of not being against basic human rights.
