We just had a surprise visit of American friends of ours from when we both lived in DC years ago. They both worked in a government agency in Colorado that's been axed by Trump (30+yrs in the job). I told them they might want to stay here in Scotland or maybe head north🇨🇦 when they go home.

I have to say that since Trump deployed the National Guard to DC, I've left less safe in the city than before the deployment. And judging by the number of people choosing not to spend their evenings in the city, either dining out or enjoying entertainments, I'm not the only one...
