It's not the same cuz on Gamepass you have to use the Kinect+ and it watches your mouth and if you don't pronounce their names right the NPCs get mad and attack you

3 is great but it’s funny how many of the late-game plot twists/encounters are unintelligible if you haven’t played the first two games or infuriating if you have

I was completely flabbergasted when Act 3 of BG3 as Durge became an honest to god sequel as opposed to the little nods to the originals. Haven't played an RPG before that was an *optional* sequel, considering most players probably never touch Durge.

I read somewhere that the original plan was that all custom characters would have the Durge storyline, which makes that particular decision make more sense. But later they decided most players would not want to be forced into that background and all its associated lore, so it was made optional.
