I’m nominally a Christian (raised in the Catholic Church, split away as an adult) and I become the world’s biggest bitch if someone tries to proselytize me. I don’t want that shit and I especially don’t want to join a faith that aims to convert in lieu of humbly doing good works.
I grew up Catholic as well and the Catholic guilt sucked, the fear of hell sucked, thinking about Jesus watching me jack off sucked... But, I was always glad that Catholics seem to frown upon talking about religion outside of church. No devotionals, no family prayer, and absolutely no Bible reading.
