I say at this as a Spurs fan, but we still have quite a bit to prove before we're considered a contender.

I anticipate moves in FA to make them a playoff team next year, and only getting better going forward.

I hope so but that's what every team is trying to do. We haven't been able to defend without Wemby for 5+ years and we have two shot creators, one of whom is hit or miss (Vassell). There's pieces in place for sure but nothing proven.
