They must be protected if they choose to speak out. Many were already threatened at the time they were abused. There’s a legion of trolls ready to attack them and lawyers to harass and sue them, probably including the DOJ.

But we should make it easier to choose to safely speak up. I’m sure a lot of them are quite fearful they may “commit suicide” if they went more public. Reasonably so. Hard to guarantee safety for so many folks but it should be a priority
