No reason to silence a gun unless you intend on murdering someone. You can open carry in my state unless it’s posted otherwise (never is). I wish it were different but these rednecks think it’s still the Wild West.
Suppressors are a form of hearing protection. They're Hollywood quite either, if someone fires a suppressed gun anywhere near you it'll immediately be recognized as a gunshot

I use regular earplugs when I shoot, there’s no need for your average person to need a suppressor.
