I think the notion that they want to trade Seiya as part of this has gotten a little overblown but that’s on reporters, not calling you out in the slightest. I get the worry but it doesn’t feel like a Hoyer move to get this far down the road without confidence in an extension.
The only Hoyer move I know of is to balk at a real paycheck and dump him for mediocre prospects at the all star break
