Here's what I told a friend: on Seinfeld Elaine made up a story about a wild experience while in Jerry's car, and when Jerry asks if she's okay, she says yeah, car making an odd noise, but she's okay. I.E., create a wild bullshit story to be the focus and all accurate details become irrelevant.
