This morning a bit of fibrous floss shredded and got trapped between my 1st and 2nd molars, so I went after it with a different floss but couldn't get it out, and I guess it'll eventually be absorbed into my gumline and just become part of my mouth forever unless it hitchhikes out with other food.

Update: The short end I could feel protruding toward the inside of my mouth, enough so that I was going to worry it with my tongue until I developed a blister, was long enough to be visible, and with proper illumination I was able to extract it with tweezers. Dental emergency averted.

It’s a crime that a near dental emergency can be caused by doing what you’re supposed to do

It's Cocofloss (made with coconut fiber), which is fantastic most of the time because it feels like you're scraping the plaque off your teeth the way you would barnacles from the hull of a boat, but God help you if you somehow get it between two teeth that are pressed together like tectonic plates.
