Good parenting. 😏
love when that happens
I remember going to Sam the Record Man to pick up the first Dylan albums. Now, my grandchildren are listening to my vinyl collection on their record players!
Wise beyond their years.
The times, they are a-changing!
It occurs to me that I copped two of my Dylan albums from trash cans over ten years apart🤔
The times they are a changin’
Parents musta done a good job. 👍
20th Century music rules.
I know Jack, I know! The kids are all right! My 15 year old son was telling my husband yesterday about how much Charlie Kirk is an idiot and we were so proud!
Ha! Jaysus. I'm American (or was) and that's as much as I know about Charlie Kirk!
Damn, Jack! Congratulations!
Clearly they were taught well.
Melnick would be proud
No doubt.
Well done, sir.
My son wants me dead so he can get my records.
Nice 🔥🔥😎
Parenting done right!
My older son and I bonded over blink 182. ☺️
There is hope, after all.
The kids are alright. Think half my record collection came from Cheap Thrills on Metcalf when I lived there in the 80's!
Great place. I think I went out with the owner a time or two.
Congratulations! This is my dream
More relevant than ever. Come senators, congressman please heed the call….
Makes for a proud dad!
Parental win!! Kudos.
Not really any better than Spotify on a Bluetooth speaker though.
And this is peace!
Let me guess: Rainy Day Women
this is a win!
Órale!
Sounds like you've done good parenting.
Teach the ancient texts.
Is "Hurricane" one of the songs? It's my fave Dylan.
Highway 61.
Another good one!
Not so far. They have guitars and harmonicas and drums and they're playing along so I lose the melody
Cool.
So there’s hope?
Must smell skunky down there
Tomorrow is such a long time is stuck in my head.
There is hope to be found in this new generation of Kids🎶
Fantastic!! You should buy him the basement tapes
Hopefully it's Masters of War.
Buy them weed
Well taught.
You have one parenting my man.
Won...not one. Sorry
Proud dad.
The heart still beats……
Proud parent moment.
The answer is blowing in the wind?
How does it feel? I’m thinking, transported!
It would do this country good to listen to the protest music of the 60’s. Moral, profound and a great listen.
All true.
Now that warms my heart...
He’s saved
You raised him right!
Oh what a moment, bro.
Maybe they're laughing at your and my affection for him. Does he seem outdated to them? To my millennial children, he seems authentic. Maybe the zoomers see through him, think he's arrogant.
Nah they're listening because they love it. I'm not a big Dylan guy like Melnick. They got to this on their own.
Fantastic! Which album?
Down there smokin the devil's lettuce too I bet
So cool 😎
✊✊✊✊✊✊✊
The kids are alright. Apologies to Pete, Roger, John, & Keith.
Good music is always relevant.
There is hope 😎
Which album?
👍✌️
At the ripe age of 68 I think one of the things I miss most in life is the joy of buying a new recording by a favorite band, examining all the liner notes, having a friend over, and sharing some jazz cabbage as we discussed the relative merits of the album. Good times.
My 14 year old is in love with Phil Ochs at the moment. He picked up guitar and plays and sings them. Wild how far back the kids have to go for solid protest music.
Don’t need a weather man
Righteous!!
You did well.
Thank you.
I recorded “Highway 61 Revisited” with a microphone and a portable cassette tape player while playing an LP borrowed from the public library. Nothing so good as discovering Bob Dylan for the first time. Still have the cassette tape, too. 👍
We were gifted a record player for the restaurant from a friend when his father passed, we promptly went out and found some good vinyl (including original pressings of Dylan), and the amount of people who absolutely enjoy looking through the albums picking one out is amazing. Vinyl hits different.
