Great. Use the tool that is going to rob them of the future they might have had if not for, you know, AI. Absolutely fucking brilliant.

AI is incredibly insidious and potentially unprecedentedly dangerous, but not all its uses are automatically bad. Essentially making a visual for kids to see themselves in some profession doesn't seem like the worst thing. Not saying I'm a fan, but like with any technology, it's how you use it.
No one should be posting photos of children on the internet. That should literally be illegal.
Oh sure, and with less funding in education, some may not make it to university or post-secondary education. www.montrealgazette.com/news/provinc...
Drainville is pure scum.
He was a journalist at Radio-Canada when I worked there. No comment.
Another unprincipled leech on the body politic.
Agreed. Once a civil servant always a civil servant. Not I. I worked at CBC Radio-Canada longer than Iβd like to admit but never really fit into that "pattern".
It's okay; the kids can all enjoy that new, useless Big O roof instead.
I have a feeling I am going to like Evan Solomon even less in a few years. Minister of AI my ass.
How that guy always wangles his way into cushy, highly paid jobs is an eternal mystery.
Love the sarcasm. π I make my students actually draw descriptions. So thanks for your sarcasm, which helped me not get super angry. Hereβs the drawing a student made of a character in my friend Robyn Petermanβs latest. I still owe Robyn the 17 others. π
Literally proves that progress isn't actually always progress ...
Uh, why isn't the teacher telling the kids to draw themselves in the careers they see?
Damn fine question...
Also have to wonder if any of the parents had issues with pictures of their kids being loaded into an LLM.
That too. Seems people have become inured to all that. I won't even post pix of my kid on Facebook and he's almost 20 and as tall as I am.
I have posted pictures of my kids to Facebook on occasion, but most of my posts aren't public.
I have friends who do so almost daily. I don't have a problem with it. In my case, there are a lot of people out there who hate my guts and I don't want him to have to deal with my enemies.
Yes, you do seem to get some unhinged reactions at times.
Moi? It's not so much the social media BS. It's more the death threats from boxers. Things you have to take seriously.
Wow ..death threats , damn . Well I know it wasn't likely George Chuvalo - he used to eat every Friday night at fish and chip place on Weston Road in Northeast Toronto, that was beside my apartment. I lived there 3 years and saw George 30 or 40 times. He was always extremely friendly.
Yeah but George was a bad dude. I was threatened by the Hiltons in various ways but one was a death threat left on my work voice mail.
That's concerning. Some people, man.
