Not that it will make a damned bit of difference, but I am completely opposed to any of the London 5 being reinstated by the NHL now or at any time in the future. Not guilty does not mean innocent - and these arrogant, entitled jocks are anything but innocent.

They are guilty. They are guilty of degrading a woman. Using their status as a weapon of intimidation. They are guilty of association in not doing the right thing. Guilty for engaging, for observing and participating. No one did the right thing. It’s disgusting. I feel horrible for the victim.

Of all the statements given after the trial, that of Michael McLeod’s lawyer was the most ludicrous and pathetic wherein he claimed that his client’s reputation had suffered as a result of the trial. Oh really?

They are currently living out their hockey dreams in the KHL or Slovakia, or in the case of Alex Formenton, done with hockey and working construction. I doubt any NHL team will touch them.

I agree completely. They took advantage of a young woman’s mistake and did not treat her like they would a girlfriend or wife. They did not treat this young woman they way they would want their sisters or daughters to be treated. The were enabled by Hockey Canada and Professional Hockey culture.

The presence of any of these five characters would be enough to taint the entire organization foolish enough to sign him. And any reinstatement would have to get past Bettman first and he's been inclined to be tough on these miscreants of late. Let's hope he stays that way.

Carter Hart is probably the only one of the five that is talented enough to get signed. Of course this is assuming any team would want this PR baggage on their roster.
