Make no mistake, if Trump succeeds in occupying Los Angeles or San Francisco, he will complete the armed fascist takeover of the liberal cities in the U.S. and the democracy will be extinguished for decades - if not centuries. Then he will move on Canada.
I don't believe this one bit. Although I've been mad in the past at how Americans are doing nothing to save their country, I now have a feeling that their incapacity to recognize fascism is what will save them. Trump will die, and every one will move on. Because, it seems like no one changed anyway.

Fascism didn't die. It took one helluva lot of killing. Marguerite Duras's account of the resistance is the most harrowing thing I have ever read. Trying to keep the flickering wisp of her husband alive when he returned from the Nazi death camp. Fighting fascism stretched humanity to the limit.

Aggression to Canada would have to be from a position of absolute righteousness. Trump and that joke of an administration could never dream of the morals required of that. NATO might not act in unity if it happened, but several would break ranks and assist I believe
Ukraine had a signed security agreement with the USA, Russia, and the UK. That didn’t help in 2014 and it isn’t helping as much as it should be today. I wouldn’t count on anyone except 41M Canadians- more likely 500K Canadians fighting back.
