Also the best goalie in the league of his era. Some other goalies you mentioned, while great, had 10x the team in front of them than Price ever had. He didn’t win a cup but that was not his fault. That was bad management. The 2021 run was the best thing any Habs fan not 40+ has seen.

If you don’t retire Price’s number at some point you may never retire another number again. He was the face franchise and their only super star in the modern era. The only true star any Habs fan under 35 years old has seen play for their team. People came to the games to watch Carey Price
