Fiona's Got I.T. @fionasgotit.bsky.social

A few months ago, my office got moved to the far flung corner of the least loved building. This happened as I started expressing ways the company could improve how it treats workers, but I’m sure that had nothing to do with it. Anyway, I turned my new office into a cafe, complete with little library

Bottom center of the photo contains a wood top table with a coffee grinder, digital scale, small cup made to look like birch bark, an electric kettle, a chemex pour over vessel, and 8 varieties of coffee beans sitting on top of it. On the wall center frame is 5 different square canvas prints of coffee accoutrements (coffee beans pouring down, two coffee grinders with beans in and around, and two different coffee cups, one with pastries haphazardly placed nearby ) arranged in an asymmetric up and down pattern. On the wall to the left is a mug rack containing 2 black mugs, one with a dragoon with the colors of the Pan flag, a large green and black mug, and 2 small espresso mugs. Center bottom frame contains a wood table with a Breville espresso machine atop it, with a Four Roses drip mat in front of it. Above on the wall is 3 coffee themed canvas prints (2 of coffee cups with coffee in them, one of a close up of a manual coffee grinder’s reservoir with coffee beans inside). Additionally there is a small wooden word art piece saying “FIRST I DRINK THE COFFEE THEN INDO THE THINGS” The top two shelves of a black painted metal book shelf. Four distinct groupings of books are visible along with some hand cream sitting separately on the top right. The top left groupings of books are various socially progressive texts including but not limited to Capital by Karl Marx, a number of works by Noam Chomsky, and Who’s Afraid of Gender by Judith Butler. The bottom left grouping contains various web and SQL design / programming books. The center bottom grouping contains various programming books as well. Bottom right book grouping contains books useful to IT Security professionals (incident response, packet analysis, red and blue teaming handbooks).
