Yes, many times. I used to live in Cranbrook and spent as much time as possible at Kootenay lake. If I could afford to move back to BC and live in Nelson, I would. I simply cannot afford BC anymore. Got forced outta Victoria!

That’s a big complaint in Nelson right now. House prices are high. But it’s definitely quieter than the Island.

I am going back to school so I can work remotely. I would even love a not so tiny house(all one floor and not a postage stamp) on someone's land.

Remote working is a big factor in all the rural home prices jumping. I have 3 friends that all bought out here and work remote in a different province.

We don’t have industry here. Work from home people bring their own job. Demand for the few homes that we have goes way up.

Forestry, WCB, and others moved to Kelowna or Victoria but demand for Nelson is high. I work at the post office and see where people are moving here from. Lots from Ontario, but US people and most other provinces are coming too.
