Yeah, I read that in the definition but those are "for example" there, which I interpreted as a list of descriptors, not a minimum required list of checkboxes. It's so weird.

I'm not a fan of the move to make race/ethnicity so tightly linked with national origin for many reasons. The conflation is so clear on the long/detailed form. It's weird, inaccurate, and a non-negligible amount of icky. www.federalregister.gov/documents/20...
