That's kind of like how the car chase in Bullitt plays out in SF, they're in the city going around areas and then in other parts of the city and then quickly not in the city when the Charger drives into that gas station.

I think that just ends up being par for the course when a film is shot on location and you know that location better than a vast majority of the viewership ever will. Watching a final cut of a on location film is a lot like seeing how a sausage is made.
