Do you really believe that bullshit. We had the same tariffs under Trump he’s talking about today what was higher four years ago that it is today.

@drunkenhillbilly.bsky.social You’re correct in that he imposed tariffs this high during his 1st term, but only on certain imports, like steel. He eventually angered every trading partner we had, who then retaliated, leading us further into a trade deficit that we hadn’t seen since the 2009 crash.

Now Trump wants to start a 3-against-1 trade war with China, Canada and Mexico....at the same time. I hope the MAGAs get everything they voted for. I REALLY do.

Oh....and remember to block the MAGAs. They will get bored from a lack of engagement and crawl back to Twitter or Truth Social like roaches seeking a dark place.

Is that why the Biden administration left most of Trump’s tariff in place until this day.

True, they kept tariffs, but replaced many of them with ‘tariff rate quotas’, specifically with the EU, UK, and Japan. China is a whole other story. What concerns me most are his planned tariffs for Mexico and Canada - directly impacts costs of food and housing. Consumers will always pay the price.
