They do it every time. Hell, they do it even when the shooter ISN’T trans -spread misinformation they were trans to vilify us. I know it’s worth saying that all trans people are not to blame for the horrific actions of one, but they’re just looking to justify their predetermined hate at every turn.

Demanding a fraction of the population be accountable to an even smaller fraction is disgusting. (This isn’t meant to undermine the importance of trans and queer people. Just that they treat trans folks like nuclear weapons level hostile when the overall percentage in the population is small.)

any sufficient large group will have "bad" members who does bad things. It's just statistics. Saying "hey, look how this person of minority X did something terrible, all people of minority X thus are terrible!" is a sign of defective reasoning power... or bad faith.
I've noticed it's basically the default response whenever the perpetrators of any horrific event aren't straight white people. For instance, after every Islamist terror attack the narrative was always "will the Muslim community take accountability for this and speak out?"
