Today, in my hellhole home of #Chicago, I walked to the farmers market with my family and bought flowers, cheese, honey, fruit, and tomatoes. Then we went to the local park to enjoy the 70s and breezy weather we have been blessed with.

I too spent my day in #Chicago’s hellhole at the farmers market, walking my dog in one of the forest preserves, grilling with friends some of the items purchased at the farmers market then chilled around the fire pit (with a beer or 2) It was a dreadful day.

I’m in Seattle, which burned down during the Floyd protests. I made it through the ruined hellscape to the grocery store, where we bought many fresh fruits and veggies. I then went to the remains of my home, and played pinball and video games while smoking artisanal weed, and drank craft beers.

In my hellscape of Queens NY, just before sunset my husband and I braved a local park where we observed kids playing volleyball, a large gathering of people barbecuing and listening to salsa, and some truly terrifying girls in hijabs kicking a soccer ball. By God’s grace we got home alive.

We vacationed in your home town back in June. We enjoyed Second City, the White Sox, the Botanical Garden, the Art Institute, a riverboat tour, shopping on the Magnificent Mile, and delicious pizza. We felt perfectly safe, and we were impressed by how clean it was.
